Advice from an author
My name is Daniel Morgan, but if you follow the indie crime scene, you might know be better by Morgan Greene. In 2016, I began writing freelance and after a series of contracts centred around ghostwriting and self-publishing, I decided to strike out on my own. The first Jamie Johansson novel flopped horribly. But, learning as I went, I turned the series around, and now, 10 books later, the series is a success with Angel Maker achieving 100 consecutive weeks as a bestseller. And now, I'm also represented by one of the biggest literary agencies in the world with my first traditionally published title coming down the publishing pipeline.
Is it possible to achieve a career as a writer in 2023? It's not an easy road to take, but it is possible. And below, you'll find some information on ways you can help start your own journey in self-publishing. In the end, it comes down to you, your books, and your determination. But, from where I'm sitting, these things definitely help.
